I know that most people won't touch this story because of the pairings, which I think is a cryin' shame. Really. The writing is excellent. Some lovely language. Gorgeous, extended metaphors and imagery. And fantastic characterization on top of it all.

So, I rec: Fireworks by queenzulu. It's a dual pairing of House/Stacy, House/Foreman. (I just woke up so forgive me for not finding the technical terms in my brain, but...) It's structured in a somewhat fragmented, back-and-forth kind of style, so the two pairings work together in way that highlights the other's uniqueness with contrasts. It's not long, but, like most of queenzulu's work, portrays quite a lot with such a modest word count.

I already posted one of these under a friends cut, but it should go in a public entry, along with another rec, that is overdue and really deserves to be mentioned. Both are fanart recs.
